MEMBERS

Christer
CHRISTER TULL

guitar

One of the best guitar players in Sweden and also plays a mean gospel piano. Loves cats and lives with a few of them and his wife in Stockholm. Joined the band in 1997 and as the members of Synliga says,
”who needs Jethro Tull when you’ve got Christer Tull!”

Frank
FRANK SKARET
drums

Frank works with computers and is the one in the band the others call when their machines are on the blink and he can very often give good advise like, "the best thing you can do is to throw the damned thing out the window". His advise is suprisingly often exactly the right thing to do to avoid further trouble. He also tunes pianos and has perfect pitch. Why he chose to play drums is something to think about on dark winter nights but drummers are like drummers are.

Jocke
JOAKIM LUNDBERG
keyboard, vocals

Joakim or Jocke as he's called is a former student of the Royal Academy of Music and deeply loves his keyboards. He has a great talent for dialects and voices and he sounds like so many others that we're beginning to wonder what he really sounds like.

Johan
JOHAN HÄGLERUD
guitar, vocals

A former student at Rytmus school of music in Stockholm and hopes to become a musician one day. In the meantime he plays with Synliga.
He is a very talented base and keyboard player - so with us he plays guitar. He is the youngest member and it has been said also the best looking, but this has not been properly confirmed.
Due to his tender age he hasn’t had time to waste his talent away on drugs and alcohol yet, but the older members of the band has high hopes for him.

Marie
MARIE HÄGLERUD
vocals, keyboard

Marie, or aunt Marie as Johan says, is a yoga instructor and should spread a feeling of inner peace and calmness about her but being in the same band as her feels like hugging a hurricane. She makes most of the vocal arrangements for the band and keeps an ear on the rest of the members since they have a tendency to go astray in their trials in the world of harmony vocals.

Sven
SVEN WESTIN
vocals, percussion

He also sings in the band Mr. Coil that plays Irish pubs throughout Scandinavia. Sven claims that he appreciates the more sober gigs with Synliga, but nobody believes him after having seen him polute a bathtub in a hotelroom in Tokyo. Sven is with Ulf one of the verbal forefronts of Synliga which means that the two of them babble on like their lives depended on it.

Ulf
ULF NORDQUIST
base guitar, vocals

Has a recording studio in Stockholm called Ljudolf. He is the main song-writer for the band and has had some success both in and outside Sweden, with a first prize at the Castlebar song contest in Irland with the tune, "Don't Play A Sad Song After Midnight" as his biggest achievement. Live he works hard at bonding with the audience and his interplay with Sven usually makes everybody smile exept maybe Marie who thinks the boys talk too much.

Ulrika
ULRIKA NORELIUS
vocals, keyboard

Latest member of the band and a highly skilled vocalist. Proud owner of the guide dog Balder, who breaks wind and creates an intresting atmosphere at rehearsals. She loves musicals and had to be carried out of a large record store in London by her friends since she wanted to buy all the recordings of musicals they had, but could only afford a few.
