Synliga the blindest band in the land celebrates its 25 years as a group and the anniversary is framed by international performances.
An acoustic version of the successful stage show Blind Date now being exported to London for a performance at Dans Le Noir on February 1.
The seven visually impaired musicians that is Synliga the blindest band in the land are becoming more and more in demand for international performances. Their show Blind date, wherein the visitor gets to eat a meal in the dark and then gets to experience a show also partly in total darkness, is becoming something of a phenomena. The group has done 180 shows in the dark these last two years and now the demand for international performances by this unique band is rapidly increasing. On the 10th of December the group was the international headliner for the International Disability Festival in St. Petersburg, Russia.
On February 1st the group will play live at the famous restaurant Dans Le Noir in London, England, and this is a fine way to start celebrating the groups 25th anniversary.
For the first time in England the band will play songs from their show Blind date and this at the restaurant Dans Le Noir. The visitors eats a meal in the dark and after dinner the band will play a set of acoustic versions of songs from the show Blind date. During the performance the band members will be spread out in the room and among the audience, still in total darkness…
“This will be something completely different and more intimate than the 9000 seated arena we played in St. Petersburg at the end of last year”,
Says Sven Westin singer in Synliga,
“but we do love a challenge and we can’t think of a better place to celebrate our anniversary.”

“My eye condition makes me unique since it makes me see the world from a different perspective,
Says Ulf Nordquist singer and bass player of Synliga,
it’s about finding new ways and different solutions, and I know this is true for everybody but my situation craves it. I hope you can see and find your own way through hearing my story.”
